I have been using a Remora Pro for 3 months - pulls out some very dark skimmate. I actually cleaned it out last month - it took about 2 weeks to start skimming again, so I would guess mine does not like to be cleaned. I clean out the collection cup/foam stem every day or two though.

Thanks - I was thinking about the CSL Velocity T2 - I think that is about 650 GPH at a 3' head. I'll be at a 5-6' head so that should put me pretty close to 580 GPH so I can just dial it down a touch if need be. Thanks for all the help. Jason

Get rid of them ASAP. I used Kalk and some Peppermint Shrimp and mine have been gone for a month, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. My brother let his go, now they are EVRYWHERE - in the gravel, on all live rock. The sooner you can eliminate the better.
