I recent got a 58g oceanice rr tank..gave it to my brother as a house warming gift and wanted to know what kind of light any1 can suggest just to do softies, zoas, mushrooms..etc..nothing too crazy to where he's going to need a chiller...thnx in advance

I have the same tank but older, my overflow is in the left corner, I think they moved it to the center now? I'd probably go with t-5's, at least 4 and probably 6 would be better. Pretty sure they sell 36" units like that. I use a 250wMH with actinic supplements on my 58, and don't need a chiller, so that would work ok too.

Tell him to check out BoostLED or RapidLED honestly. A diy kit will get a lot better quality light in the long run and you can even get dimmable drivers as well for cheaper then buying an actual fixture.
