Quick question ...cause I'm going to do the same as well as build a new stand,did you take the entire rim off or cut it up to the filtration chamber?

I have two returns on my jbj 28 with the overflow in the middle ,I haven't taken the rim off yet hopefully by the weekend.if I finish building the new stand by then ill start a DIY tread on this ....being that he hasn't replied to anyone's post( ill also provide pictures).
