To make them run slower, just use a lower voltage transformer. 12V runs at max speed, something like 5-9V will be significantly quieter. You can't use a transformer with less amps though..
Jlavine that fan is loud I see it. would not recommend it that's about 50-60dBA
For the hood had no choice to take it off temps was up to 90f with it of it floats around 82f still high.
Right now looking at the corsair AF120 quiet edition fan operates at low noise level of 21 dBA at full power. 39.88 CFM with 1100rpm That's a keeper. it's only $13.00
Just need to know how to mount it NEED help with that.
I just want to say to all THANK YOU guys for the help.
Cooling fans like the one pictured above work very well ..almost too well for a nano .so pay attention to the temp. I have a probe that shuts off the fan when the temp is right

As an update, have to tell you. My cooling fan works great and I have rarely even seen my chiller go on. Had gone on once and my alarms for my controller went crazy. Obviously, had to tweak my alarm settings. I have had the room go to 88 degrees and fan still kept tank at 78. So works great.
For some reason, my 2 controllers seemed to be off by 1 degree. So I moved the temperature probes closer to each other.
