Can anyone recommend a good handyperson in the Stony Brook area (or willing to commute )? I have a couple small jobs I'd like to get done this week or next.

1 - Repair a hole in a wallpapered bathroom wall ripped out by the towel holder ( app. 4" diameter ) in such a way that the holder can be replaced back.

2 - Cut out an 8" strip of burnt laminate and replace it with new laminate ( I already have it ).

Regarding #2, if you are talking about Laminate Flooring be careful there is a technique about replacing boards since they are tounge and groove they need to be cut out properly. Then putting a new board in needs to go in right so that they are FLUSH with the other boards around it. Some "handymen" may be able to do it. But I would ask anyone if they have any experience doing it if you want it done nicely.
