If your thinking about going to coral theory !!! Read this first!!!!

BRING PLENTY OF MONEY!!!!!

I was taking a detour through Williamsburg as I normally do when the bqe is flooded and then I remembered as I'm at the light on whythe and broadway that the new coral theory shop was on 60 broadway , so I pulled into a sudden parking spot , I got out and what do I do!?........ Start lookin for the blue lights !!! Lol and there it was to my left and just across the street !!!

So now I walk into the shop! Super clean frag tanks and nicely layed out ( mind you this store is not completely open yet) but from what I saw , it is on it's way to glory !! Frags looked nicely cut and I must say , the prices couldn't match the sizes of some of the pieces !! , everything was affordable and they had some Realy nice stuff but jimmy said that they didn't have much!! Lol it was just a preview of what's to come!!.

Jimmy was a very nice person and was extremely helpful , he even consoled me when the gorgonia I wanted was being held for another reefer lol he assured me more would arrive at some point !! Great frags and by the way , they have frags from $5 and up , so if your a pro reefer or just a new guy trying to see his or her reefing abilities and don't want to damage your wallet ..... Then visit coral theory !! You won't be disappointed .


In conclusion , this is the second shop in Brooklyn that I write about , I'm only gonna write about what's worth writing about ...... It's great to see Brooklyn stepping it up in the lfs kingdom !!

ive been there a few times with my girl. we love the place, cant wait for them to have really big shipments in. then there glory will really bloom. there an A++++ for us. like i said cant wait for there tanks to be heavily stocked.

Well just to clear it up I am not opposed to the shops pricing , when I say the prices don't match I'm referring to the high end frag in the low priced colums , and when I asked jimmy why that piece was in the $5 rack , he simply replied ..... Well we have alot of it so why not make it affordable!!!! That's great business practice !!

Most of our corals are hand picked from our suppliers and premium prices are paid for said pieces on our part. We try our best to price them accordingly, but if you can provide examples as to which type/pieces are too expensive please feel free to shoot us a PM.

I actually think the prices are very fair. It is a store and price wise I think it competes well with other stores and online retailers. I always went went they had the specials, so maybe that's why I think their price are good. One "complain" I have is that sometimes a frag was not priced clearly and I picked it up and then I get slapped with a higher price. In all fairness it has only happened a couple of times and Jimmy has come through and gave me the frag for the price that I thought I was paying. All in all great store in NYC, can't wait to visit the new location.
