If im not mistaken...
It's a chalice. Named "convict chalice" by cherry corals. Generally goes for about $100+ for a frag

Yup its a chalice but it's not the convict, it resembles it in a way as far as the strips go but it's not nearly as vibrant... It more so resembles the bolanos chalice that vivid was selling about 2 years ago, which I had a piece of but unfortunately lost it, nevertheless an awesome piece!

Btw there's a ton of imitation convicts out there, the original piece is really a stunner..

"Chalice " isn't what I was after-- I was asking about an actual Genus or even species. Chalice generically refers to numerous genera -- echinopora, echinophyllia, oxypora, etc.
Anyway, it is a cool coral!
