I have broken down my tank and removed around 300lbs of CaribSea Special grade live sand. The sand has been in my tank for around 5 years. If you are building a new system and want some free sand this is all yours for the taking.
The fine print:
This sand will not be clean, and should be rinsed well before using in your system. That will make it notlive sand, but that's your choice and it will still usable sand. The sand is sitting outside in a brute, you will have to put it into your containers to take back with you - salt buckets, cardboard boxes whatever. I am only keeping this for a few days and then it will be rinsed and used to sand my driveway in the winter.
