For the guys with big tanks and extra space, Im selling this 65 gallon DIY fuge.
The refugium was on my 500 gallon system, and is a very simple design. It started life as a 65 gallon acrylic tank. I have clipped a piece of egg crate to the center brace to ensure that the giant ball of Chaeto doesnt get stuck in the drains or the powerhead on the left side
On the right side, a pump feeds the fuge with sump water, the rate is controlled by an inline valve. This is so you can prevent supplying water faster than it will drain. The water then moves across the fuge to the left side, where 2 drains return the water back to the sump. The drain on the left end is designed to be the primary (high water) drain, the drain on the left side has an elbow and is adjustable so that you can select the depth it drains from and therefore the speed at which the fuge will flow. Two drains ensure that there is redundancy and a clog will not cause a flood.
Price is $25. Pickup in Stamford.
