I have to admit, I'm not surprised by the lack of response given the way our interaction has gone over the past month (i.e. mostly one way on my part). I assume this post will get deleted like my other post. If it does, I'll be forced to post in the general forum. For now, I'd just like a prompt refund. Thanks.
I agree with you guys. I've sent several emails with just general questions and never got a single response back. I've bought stuff from affordable with no issues in the past. I don't know what happened, was nice having a vendor so close by with good prices.
Thanks for the reply. Maybe something personal is going on. I'll certainly be reasonable in that case. However, it requires some form of communication. It's an unreasonable situation at this point.
I went through the same thing. I went to visit affordable with a friend and he purchased a good amount of things and I also made a few purchases. He seemed like a reliable vendor and a stand up guy. So recently I decided to go to him for a chiller. I would always have to reach out for and update for info on the chiller. I sent him half the money on a chiller that cost almost $1000. I was told it should be in within 5 days. One week to one and a half weeks went by with no word. So I reached out and got the voicemail repeatly. The to my surprise I finally got through and I was told that an attempt was made to deliver the chiller but he wasn't in to receive it. He said he would look into it and get back to me. That never happened. I made several attempts to find out what the verdict was but again voicemail repeatedly. Thank god I paid my deposit through PayPal. I called them and they investigated my case and after 2 weeks with no respond on his behalf PayPal refunded my money. Hopefully he is ok. But his business ethics are unacceptable.
OK, now I'm angry. It appears I'm no longer able to dispute the charges through Paypal b/c of a timeout. I didn't dispute immediately due to talking with John over email. This is ridiculous. JUST REFUND MY PAYMENT, JOHN!
Why does he have no one to blame but himself? If youre buying something from a vendor wouldn't you want to actually get the item or your money and not just write it off as a loss?
I wasn't the only one that's had issues with this vendor. Since he's chosen not to respond via email I figured I'd give this forum a try. The last time I posted he deleted it (even though I was polite). I wanted to give him a shot at doing the right thing. My bad for trying to be a nice guy.
