None of his photos of fish or coral are his..

Now show ur fish an coral that u have in ur house..

not sure what the point is ? anyone is welcome to come to my house and see for themselves. i have a book by SCOTT MICHAEL with hundreds of pictures i highly doubt he personally took those pictures himself. Furthermore I always tell any member they can ask to see the actual fish and i would gladly post it. A purple tang is a purple tang , a yellow Hawaian tang is the same it usually a question of size.

His photos aren't Scott Michaels photos. He is just using his book as a comparison. Some of his coral pictures have the watermark from his supplier. He isn't using other peoples photos and trying to pass it off as his fish. He said it is for reference only and if you want actual pictures let him know and he will upload it. It's not like he is calling it WYSIWYG fish.

He is not the only vendor to use stock photos. I have seen multiple vendors here use the same photo as each other because that their suppliers gave them it. Sometimes vendors will post photos of coral for a shipment they didn't get yet. This are vendors that have a good reputation. I know one of the people who commented here is a big fan of a vendor who uploads stock photos. When a vendor posts a picture of a damsel that they actually took at the store do you think you are actually going to get the same damsel?

And your talking about books...better believe he either took them himself, paid someone to do it, or paid a royalty for that. But your not buying fish from an author..

you are right , i'm very sorry as i am new to this site , i use the same pictures on ebay because they require 500 pixels minimum so guess i assumed wrongly that i could use some of those pictures. i will be taking down my pictures over the next two days and replacing them.
