These #'s stand for hardiness and survivability rates. 1 and 2 being near impossible to keep alive and should not be taken off the reef, 3 being middle of the road and 4 - 5 being the hardiest. We at 3-5 aquatics only carry 3-5 in that book and forgo the ill gotten profits from the sale of fish that should never be harvested. If you want those kind of fish, go to your lfs they want your money i don't.
