What would be the ratio for how many DT's Live Pods to how many gallons of tank?

Thanks everyone and Kenny I got your payment.

When it comes to pods it depends on your goal. If you are using them as a primary food source you may want to add as much as possible and probably will need to continue adding them (clearly this is expensive). If you are just looking to seed your tank, then you wont need as much and opinions will vary on what is really needed to accomplish your goal.

The ratio depends on more than total system gallons. You need to consider the type of fish you have and type of system as well. If you have a 20 gallon with a Mandarin and no refugium you may need to add much more than one bottle to give the pods a chance to multiply before they are eaten. If you have a 120 with only tangs one bottle will do the trick. See what I mean?

Frankly the best use of copepods and my personal recommendation is to use the pods to seed your tank. You can add one bottle of pods to your tank regardless of size (maybe when you start getting to 220 gallons or larger go with 2 bottles) and in a short period of time they will multiply and reach an equilibrium assuming you don't have mandarins or other pod eating specialists which would require a more detailed discussion about your system and goals anyway. I've done this several times even with my seahorse fry rearing systems. Here is a link to DTs site for their recommendations: http://www.dtplankton.com/copepods.html

If you want to have a more detailed phone discussion about your system send me a PM and I'll shoot you my number.
