John asked about having us put some of our photos here. So if I get a lecture about this is not reef related, I am taking my pretty flowers and putting em back in the sump.

My hydrangea, I did not think I would love these plants as much as I do but they have really grown on me.

Cool 8) We don't have either one of those. Not sure they do well in our zone. We had 26 below zero here winter before last 3 nights in a row.

Is that a Nikko Blue Hydrangea? I would love to grow Crape Myrtle, but alas I too am too far north.

Here's a daisy from last years garden:

Yes it is. One of the neat things about Hydrangeas are that regardless of what color you buy after the first year is over and the bloom in years after that their color is dependent on the soil acidity or alkalinity as to what color they are. There are three color variations around here Blue - Red - White. Where your soil is will determine the color.

This is why it is a good idea to fertilize the plant year round. You can change the color and even get multiple colors. Take a look at these two globes on the same plant.

I love the daisy and the sunflower. After Ivy seen them I am sure we will be planting sunflowers this weekend.

I planted 2 Nikko Blues. If I don't treat the soil - they bloom pink. :D

We are zone 2 here, so things happen a bit slower. My Joseph's Coat rose started opening last week, as did the thyme. The smaller lemon thyme to the left of it will probably bloom next week. The lavander had just a few blooms on it, but the columbine behind is in full bloom. The sedum in the forground has done well.

I also planted rasberries and two varieties of table grapes. Trying hard to get away from annuals. The lavander was started from seed in my greenhouse about 5 years ago.

Oops, I mentioned the columbine in the last post, but realized it was in this pic, which is just to the left of the other one.

Eric,
Where in Washington are you that you are in Zone 2 - the mountains??

I live in a small town on the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains, on the east end of a 55 mile long lake. We had frost back around may 20th that nipped some new plants. Here's my garden area taken on 12/31/02. You can see the Joesephs Coat in the background.

If you do live in a zone 2, you have to have one of these!

Here is a picture of a rose from my rose bush.

1. Modified using an old version of Paint Shop Pro.
2. The original picture

Please give advice on what I can do to improve the picture or do you think what I did was okay.

Thanks,
JDM's wife.
