Welcome to Reefs.org's October Photo Contest: Predators!
From groupers totriggers, lionfish to frogfish, or any other organism regarded as predatory, share your favorite photos of predators with our community. The prizes for first place and runner up aren't bad incentives either :)

This submission period ends on 12:00 AM EST Sunday (saturday/sunday midnight), October 26, 2003.

Prizes
First place wins a $25 gift certificate, generously donated by Reefs.org's sponsor Marine Depot.

Runner up wins their choice of Reefs.org merchandise from the Reefs.org Store

Please refer to the Contest Rules for more information about how to enter. Each member may submit up to 2 entries per contest.

Please submit your entry in this thread only. Photos not submitted to this thread will not be considered for the photo contest. Photos that have no relevance to this contest will be removed. General comments or posts without a photo attached will also be deleted from this thread. If you'd like to discuss the contest, please start another thread.

The second picture was also at the Nursery. It is a nice long dive right by the fill station at sopers hole in Tortola. Lots of fish make for good photos and since it is shallow generally 40' you get good light.

Just wanted to post a reminder from the photo contest rules:

6. While post process work is acceptable, Reefs.org reminds users that this is a photography forum and should not be regarded as an art or computer graphics contest. All entries must be actual, original photographs taken by the submitter.

...and also remind everyone that discussion regarding any submissions should be posted in a separate thread. The submission thread is for just that--submissions. ;)

I don't know if this is the right place to post this comment, but shouldn't these contests be pics from people's aquariums? Or maybe have 2 contests, one for aquaria pics, and one for Wild pics? Just a thought, how many of us can compete with these awesome wild shots? There great photos, don't get me wrong, but this isn't wild ocean forum.
