My specimen has gotten somewhat darker in captivity, but it's still beautiful. The red just isn't as striking anymore. I am going to try to feed it some salmon to see if I can get that intense red back. I recommend you do that (or krill).

BTW, my golden blenny decided to turn black on me :?

Sunburn perhaps?

As for the gold turning black, its common behavior for the blennies off the coast here to turn bright yellow or gold during breeding. Not sure if its a sexual dimorphism or if its a temporary 'impress the ladies' thing, but I see it commonly.
