I thought since I have been asking questions about this tank it would be a good idea to post some pictures of its progress. This is my new 30 gallon reef after 1 week. As you can see, nothing special yet. I plan to leave it as is for four weeks and then add some inverts and add a protein skimmer.
Right now I have the following equipment:
30 gallon tall tank
Fluval 204 filter (works really well and quiet!)
Two powerheads: one on top and one underneath the heater
Heater
Custom SeaLife Prism Pendant (175W 10K, 2x 32W PCs actinic)
4-5" of caribbean sand and I don't really know how many lbs of LR. I transferred some from my 210 fish-LR-only tank.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
