Just received a Nikon D70!! This is one of the first shots I took!
Once I figure out how to use this beast, I hope to be posting more!

Sweet shot! You'll have a lot of fun learning to work with the d70; welcome, Nikon brethren ;)

Note, most dSLRs, especially the D100 and D70, underexpose a bit so you should correct that with post processing in Photoshop (or you can increase the EV on the camera). This is purposely done because blown highlights have no recoverable information but darker shadows can be saved.

Thanks! Len!!

The only thing I did with that shot was to crop, and shrink a little 5+Meg down to 128k But nothing else. But I'll be up all night I would guess.... Just playing with the new toy!!

Thanks again for the EV info...

Canon's are great also... But I already have lots of nikor glass, so I didn't look very far!! :)

But really it's like talking:

Chevy is better then ford or vise versa.... Doesn't really matter
as long as it gets the job done!

Yup, my point exactly. I got into Canon with the 300D, so now I've got a couple of (albeit entry level) Canon lenses, so I imagine I'll be sticking with them... :)
