Here are two new ultra T. maxima I got from Rob at East Coast Clams. They are farm raised. Very healthy and , IMO, extreemly beautiful.

Those are definitely incredible! I've been meaning to get a couple more clams myself. I know have one more place to check out :P

If you don't mind, I'm gonna copy this over to the photo forum as well. :)

Those are two absolutely gorgeous clams. I'll bet they fetched a handsome dollar as well. ;) Money well spent IMHO. :)

Are you sure they're maxima clams? They look like squamosa to me. :)

All kidding aside, have you had luck in the past with these very small maxima clams? I've heard that the tiny maxima clams can be difficult to maintain long-term. Very beautiful, BTW.

Before the tank crashed, I have not have a clam died for 2 years. The last ones that died were due to the Pinched mantle disease. I think Maxima at about 2 inches and larger are hardy and shoud do OK unless one realy messed up or got a sick clam.
Thanks Greg.

You should see the purple and gold ones, Beauty! Also, I think clamsdirect has a tank that is specially designed for viewing clams, as you will NEVER see them for the jewels they are when viewing from the side, must be seen from overhead.
