A couple of pointers:
1) Try adjusting your white balance on your camera to one of the fluorescent settings. Some cameras also let you custom set the white balance. That'll give you a more natural outcome and not so heavily weighted blue.
2) When not shooting with flash such as this photo, try to shoot with the lens as parallel to the glass as position. It looks like you shot this pic at a pretty big angle and it not only reduces the clarity/contrast of the shot, but skews the perception as well. Shooting through glass can be a royal PITA; shooting subjects dead on will yield the best results.
3) Use a tripod. It is one of the most under-used and under-appreciated components of photography by those who don't shoot seriously. It makes a huge difference.
4) Clean the glass when it's dirty
BTW, neat feather duster. I hope your cocoworm fares as well. I'd consider adding fine foods like rotifers, Golden Pearls, and phytoplankton to feed your worms.
