The heat of July proved too much for almost all of my 60 gallon reef tank's inhabitants. The only survivors were my clownfish pair of 12 years. They looked lost without their host anemones, but I was reluctant to purchase any anemones during these summer months. I read that clownfish will use surrogates, including corals, tubeworms, and the like. On a lark, I ordered an artificial anemone for the tank. The clownfish completely ignored the imposter for a week. But now...look for yourself.
