i just bought a nikon d3000 i cant seem to get the colors to pop like you is this camera good enough wat setting should i be using any help greatly appreciated

I have a D80. The white balance is is what controls your colors. Since it's hard to find a neutral gray in your tank to get a good white balance, i used the Kelvin scale white balance and set it up pretty high, IIRC (if i recall). somewhere in the way of 5000K-6000K. If you know the temperature of your lights, it would make it easier to adjust.

Not sure if pinoy has any better tips. As much as i love photography, I haven't taken a whole lot of tank shots, so I am a noob at that too.
