hello

i have a 29 hqi biocube and i have a biocube skimmer but its not really doing much .

iave heard of the tunzi 9002 skimmer and a aqualife nano skimmer iave read that one is more durable than the other but it creates more micro bubbles which skimmer is best or should i just stay with the biocibe skimmer :turtle:

I wouldn't even bother with a skimmer in a nano like that I would just change 5 gal a week don't over stock but if u really want one i had a hob aeroforce from CPR that kicked ... Got new from saltwatter critters blew the tunze away but is an eyesore and the hood would need a littel remodeling

The general opinion seems to be that small tanks don't need skimmers if you change water (10% a week at least) on schedule. I have a 24 gallon Aquapod and I use a Rio nano skimmer. I don't use a hood so I can hang it on the back. It isn't considered a good skimmer but I am glad that the green stuff it takes out is not in my tank.

I have the internal mini skimmer 115 from Aquatic Life in my 29 BioCube, its so much better than the biocube skimmer. It works fantastic, I remember researching skimmers when I didnt get much out of the biocube skimmer and reading alot about this one and that it the most bang for the buck and it fits in the Biocube.

I dont get any microbubbles and wow I cant believe the gunk it pulls out.

Just google 'aquatic life protein skimmer 115 biocube 29' you will get alot of great info on it.
