what are thwe best corals for......

Hello to all just wondering what would be the best type of corals to keep in a 120gal tank with 4-80watt T5 super atinics and two 175watt 14k metal halides looking for color lol

Leathers, mushrooms, and zoas are the standard 'beginner' corals. Lps are a possibility as well( euphyllia, caulaustrea, acanthastrea, etc). Kepp you nitrate and phosphate low and sps are certainly possible with that lighting, make sure to have plenty of flow. Between your main pump/ powerheads the tank should be turned 10x per hour.

Its been set up and running since December of i have your basic corals in it now but want to upgrade the entire tank to mostly SPS preferably acro's and some acans

Imo. If you're leaning into sps, I would change the actinics T-5's to a more 14-18-20k'ish bulb. Keep in mind you'll get more PAR at the lower color spectrum.
