Can anyone ID these...?

Tank is about a year and a half old....started noticing these things that look like transparent roots coming out of the sand bed. Anyone know what they are and what to do about them???

If you can get a better pic that would help but odds are they are a type of sponge and are good for the tank. Really hard to tell from that pic though.

Could be spaghetti worms.... Or a sort of sponge like Lfs said.

Do they move independently or only sway if there's current? If the latter, +1 for sponge.

No movement at all...they seem sort of rigid.

I have these in my sump. Just a harmless sponge.
