Drilling swc skimmer cup?

Hey guys, i need some advice on how to drill a skimmer cup. I would like to add a drain for it.

My SWC skimmer cup came with a drain.

Anyway, any specific to the material drill bit should work just fine. Not much to it really.

There are definitely appropriate drill bits for plastic, acrylic, lexan, etc.

Drill bits designed for metal, glass, wood are wrong for use on acrylic. They are meant to 'bite' into the material or grind it (glass bits).

i wouldnt use a drain for your skimmer unless you have a spot over your sump for it.i know i have had many overflows from my skimmer and if yours overflows not only will it be a mess for your floor but it will drain your sump

If you are unsure about a drill bit you can grind a hole with a dremel
