BEWARE OF THE TANG POLICE!! When they read, tang in a 40 gal, youre gonna hear it. :backtotop

I have a 46 gal and about 20 snails and 10 hermits. used to have more hermits but some ate each other. i dont know which ones but you can ask others. I got some bristle starfish to stir the 3 inch sandbed. for your 1 inch you probably wont need them.

Got a pic of your tank??

yea if the tang is 12" 's long then yea theres a big problem. but if it is small it will be fine for a while. until it grows then its gotta move to a bigger tank... No tang police here..... just reefers helping reefers..:grouphug: Lolz

umm i forget the rule of thumb its either 1 or 2 snails i think per gallon...

Ihave a 46 gallon with 8 snails in it. If they are like mine where you see them every once in a while I say get more. Mine are constantly working. Allways under the sand.An occasional sighting is ok at least I know they are alive.Sometimes I feel as if I don't have any at all

I like 2 for every 5 gallons and try to keep at least 15 Nassarius snails and 15 hermits. I have a mix of Zebra's Scarlets and Blue legs.
