Scooter blenny feeding

Does anyone have any experience feeding pellet food to a scooter blenny in lieu of copepods? And if so, which pellets work best? Thanks.

My scooter blenny eats marineland gel foods , it was his curiosity , one day he took a bite and has been eating it ever since.

Do you have this already, or are you looking to buy one in the future? If you can get one of the captive-bred (ORA, I believe) ones, I have heard that those are easier to wean off of pods and onto prepared foods. Just an FYI.

Are you asking about a mandarin or scooter blenny? I have found scooter's pretty easy to feed. Use some cylopleeze to get them started and once they are eating they will usually take small pellets. If the scooter is pinched in the stomach area don't buy it since it is usually too late to get them to eat

My Scoot loves Reef Nutrition Arctipods. Goes bonkers during feeding time.

Mine eats pods, mysis shrimp and marine chips. So pretty much any thing the lil pig..lol

I do not have one. I am looking to but one but doubt I would be able to keep a steady supply of copepods available. They are not the sort of item you can pick up in your lfs. I do appreciate your responses. Thanks.

Actually you can buy pods at your local LFS, if they happen to sell them. I've purchased them and they work great. Really populated my tank after a few weeks.

Staten Island does not have any lfs that sell copepods.

You can buy them online. And there may be some people here on MR selling them. Used to be someone in SI selling them.
How old is the tank. It may already have a good population of them.

The tank is 2 years old but I have no indications of copepods. I know tyeh are small but I can clearly see larger ones in other peoples tanks.
