I have a 25gal tank thats finishing cycling i currently have 27 lbs of live rock and about 25 lbs of live sand. I have 3 hermit crabs, 1 mexican turbo, 4 nassarius snails and a peppermint shrimp. should i get anything else for my clean up crew like a cleaner shrimp? or coral banded shrimp?maybe more hemit crabs? i currently have a marineland emperor 400 hob filter thats good up to 90 gal and a 75g protein skimmer.
Also with the skimmer and filter letting off alot of micro air bubbles is it really neccesary to have a air pump and airstone in the tank?

Looks good so far....

Airstone in tank???....
The powerhead you prob will need for flow.

You could prob put a few more for CUC IMO. If you goto reefcleaners.org John has preset packages for tanks by size. You could even just use his numbers to see what else you need to get.

You really don't want microbubbles in the tank. So you may want to move around your filters and pumps to try to get rid of them. They will take away from the appearance of the tank IMO. The filtration system and the skimmer is enough you don't really need to break the water surface.

This is what I have learned over time, if I am wrong someone please chime in

what i will do next not important to the cycle of your tank but ...a back ground ! give your tank some depth ! also how long have you had the skimmer running ? if not long let it mature and if it perssist having air bubble in the tank need solve probem as fine air bubble will stress corals!

A few more snails wouldn't hurt, but I'd avoid the coral banded shrimp. They get large, aggressive and will kill other shrimp. You should not have an airstone in the tank, but do need the powerhead (or two) for water movement.

For aesthetics, you may want to move the heater into the filter if it will fit. Less clutter in the tank.

If the microbubbles are coming from the protein skimmer, they may go away as the skimmer "breaks in." If they are coming from the outflow of the powerfilter, raise the water level in the tank so the water from the filter isn't "water-falling" in.
