Impeller Question

Hello reefers this question just came to my head lol. But I would like to know if i changed the impeller of my 700 GPH pump will it make a big difference on the water speed coming out the pump?

It can but I would be cautious to unless you know for sure the new impeller diameter will fit.
If you are looking to reduce gph, you can cut a few blades off the impeller to reduce water movement. Make sure the blades you cut are equally ballenced by cutting equal opposite ends unless you will have an imbalance.
To increase gph, I recommend an additional or new pump.

I do not plan to reduce the speed on the pump. I plan on increasing the speed volume on the pump.

I would not take a chance. I would bet that a different size impeller would not fit your pump. And putting a bigger impeller may strain the motor too much since it has to move more water. IMO
