I used it and it worked. If u plan to use it follow the directions on bottle make sure to shutdown protein skimmer or it will go crazy and seize use of carbon. Make sure u keep them eating use algae sheets between meals very important that they eat maintain appetite use garlic boost. I have a mix reef tank sps's ,lps did not harm anything. If u have QT use it. Good Luck .....

Well, I wonder why so much is written about how to get rid of it and you have such an easy solution. Hmmm
But I am glad that it did work for you.

I would suggest you do a lot of reading from threads on this site and elsewhere. Then decide a course of action and go for it.
Good luck.

Its better if you set up a hospital tank and starve your tank of fish for 2-3 months. This is because the second you stop using ich attack or kick ich, the larvae in the tank that was not killed off will just come back.

Its garbage..dont waste valuable time with that stuff. Just treat them with copper. Ich makes the fish deteriorate quick. Time is of the essence...

I lost 3 fish to Ich. For two days I used Ich attack and I watched them get worse and worse.

Why shouldn't he believe Cris who says it worked for him. It is possible that it did work for him but for some reason it usually does not work. Or maybe Cris didn't really have ick but thought he did. I treated with copper and still did lose some so it really depends on the situation. Some people just ride it out by feeding as best as they can hoping the fish will develop their own immunity which does seem to happen as well.
Maybe by now we can find what the status is.

Hey Adoug asked for an opinion and I provided mine from my experience.

Take the opinions you get, use or dont use the product and see what happens. Then when someone else asks whether or not the stuff works you can give them your opinion.

I agree with Rambler67....it depends how infected the fish is. When its to the point where the fish is lethargic and not able to move or eat...I dont think much is going to help. My experience with Ich has been that it develops quickly... and usually by the time you notice it, it may be too late for the first infected.

Then its time to focus on the other inhabitants in the tank and to try preventative treatments. When I used Ich attack, two fish that were not initally exhibiting signs of Ich, developed it after 2 days of "preventative dosing" and were dead within 3.

Either way, good luck Adoug.

Calm down little doggies. I remember there being a discussion on Reef Sanctuary about how Ich Attack is very inconsistent and works very much like kick Ich in that it causes the parasite to be temporarily not able to reattach itself on to the fish. The issue is that, because it does not out right kill the parasite, the disease is bound to make a comeback. If you are really that against the idea of a hospital tank, its worth a shot.

I don't think Ich attack is a miracle cure but I believe it gave them a better chance to survive. I had 3 Tangs with ich. But this time I believe my success was that all 3 never stopped eating and build there own defense. I made sure they wouldn't miss a meal and had algae sheets to pick at 24/7 and used garlic boost. All three made it, the last one to pull through was the powder blue it took a few weeks it would come and go until it never came back thank God. I have lost fish to ich before but I wasn't using ich attack used other so called miracle cures. You guys r right hospital tank/QT is the proper way to go but not all of us have this option. I would probably be out on the street with my 90 if I came home and told the wife I need to make space for another tank. I have 2 other friends who used it and also worked for them but you have to act fast you can't sleep on it once they stop eating it's hard for them to recover IMO...
