So i picked up this coral for free,it looked nicer in his tank and was told its easy to take care of and its blue polyps. I have yellow polyps, a duncan, 2 mushrooms, and a trumpet. They are all doing really well in the tank. 90g corner with a single 250w mh 20k bulb.i feed them 2ce a week and ive seeen them multiplying,
so what is this coral? IMAG0483.jpg thanks

They closed because you moved them around/maybe took them out of the water for the picture. The emerald will eat them but if you're doing it yourself just bring it away from the tank to the sink or toilet, and gently pull them off from the base trying not to pop them and toss them down the drain. If you popped one or feel the need you can do a quick RO dip after to clean the rock off. and yes the polyps should open up in a few days.

Was being quite sarcastic. It has been the bane of my reefing experience for years. I hate it.

I agree with above, I would not "wait" to see if hte emerald would eat the bubble algae. Since the piece is small I would just break them off and make sure you get it all off. You really dont want that crap spreading...

I would keep that piece in a bit of flow not too much, but you want to make sure that the zoas get circulation, honestly they do not look that good to me. But i am not a pro!
