Your post in the wrong section. You have it in the "want to buy". You should repost in one of the discussion forums.

There's a good chance you might be ok moving the water and live rock, but you should acclimate your fish and corals to the new tank.
Personally, I would fill the new tank up with new salt water and make sure everything is running properly. Especially since you have new sand, I would want to sift the sand around and make sure to filter out all the fine 'dust' before putting anything else in. Then I would acclimate everything to the new tank.

I would let the new tank cycle for a while. That sand will need time to get established.
Add some sand and rocks from your existing tank and it will cycle faster. But it will still take a while. Using the water really does not mature the new tank, you need the sand and rock to seed the new sand.

I just did pretty much the same thing. I bought new sand, filled up the tank with water and waited 2 days for the dust to settle than I added about 15 pounds of fully cured live rock I got from a buddy waited about two weeks and than moved everything from my other tank. I got a spike of amonia 0.25 ppm and Nitrates 20 ppm that lasted about a week and a day and then everything went back to normal. I didn't loose anything but maybe I was lucky.

Mark - You could transfer everything over in one shot but if you have the luxury of setting up the new tank in a different location, I would treat it as a whole new setup. I would first fill the 75 w/NSW & run the filter etc. Get the salinity & temp right, wait a while, transfer the fish to a separate holding tank using the old water & put the rock in the new tank. Now you can remove the sand w/o causing any ill effects to the livestock. Slowly put in the sand around the rockwork - wait another day for settling & after all parameters are good then transfer fish & inverts.
