Extra shell on my feather duster.

Should I cut off the extra shell on my feather duster?
I got him like this.

Had him for over a month in this state.

The tube isn't hard so u can just snip it off, it won't hurt him, when I seen him in ur crib I been meaning to tell u to cut it off lol

The other feather duster is in its own tube. They are not connected.
The extra shell "skin" is to the left side of the green feather duster.
