Like when a anemone split does it die faster. Not grow as big as the original???? Or is there no difference???

R RARECLOWNSNJ Advanced Reefer Location New Jersey Rating - 100% 49 0 0 Nov 26, 2011 #3 Dav they are exactly the same thing. Just one sounds cooler. When an anemone splits it creates a clone. Splitting is not a sign of health either. Its takes the animal so much energy. The two anemones that split are the most vunerable on the reef. Mags and bubbletips. Haddonis sebea malus suck them selves under the sand or the area between rock and sand. Gigantea and mertens are so sticky and strong they are least likely to get attacked. Usually when collected gigantea and haddoni have patches of missing tentacles. Because they lose them on the collectors skin. Mertens no so much Last edited: Nov 26, 2011
