True Perc + Corkscrew Anem

Hey ya'll
I've had my True Percula in my tank for about 3 months now, healthy as can be & getting bigger every day. About a month ago I bought a long tentacle anemone for him to enjoy but its not hosting at all. Any tips? Suggestions or just plan info?

hmmm i'd just give it time. but some clowns dont host in certain anemones. im not sure about the one you have but ive heard they're not known to host in those haitian anemones u find in petcos and petlands. my clowns didnt host my rbta till maybe 3-4 months in. they were comfortable in a patch of hair algae

You can't force a clownfish to host an anemone.. he'll do it on his own when he is ready or if he is ready.

You can try Feeding around the the anemone. I got mine to host my Frog spawn that way. I just used a turkey Bastet to put food around it. The female eventually started hosting it.

If the anemone isn't planted down yet ,, take anemone and fish and put into a bucket t small
Area ,, they
Will get scared and go
Into anemone ,, and them place back into tank ... Works for me every time ...

Only things is u need to be careful not to stress them out too much ,,

Jared i was about to say they dont host clownfish, but i think he means a heteractis aurora.

I was going to say the same thing, not all anemones will host clowns. This is also one of the reasons common names aren't always helpful.

Yes if that is the anemone , it won't et hosted
