Candy Cane Dead ?

How can i tell if my candy cane is alive or not ?

At the moment my Candy Cane is full of color, bright Yellow/green , but it is rock hard and has no tentacles coming out. All my other corals are doing fine. I tried spot feeding it with no luck. Any Ideas?

try feeding it in the morning before the lights come on. you might have to turn all the flow off in the tank so they have a chance to get the food before it blows away.

I feed them with the pumps off with no luck.

it should be fine. when it turns white/clear and you see the skeleton then you know your in trouble. i usually feed mine about an our after the lights go out.

I have had a number of them that just don't have tentacles out. Sometimes even without tentacles out they will eat. Stop the water flow and put some food right in the middle. You should see it sink in within a few minuts. Food should be chopped very fine. But they really do ok without feeding.

After a few days the candy cane finally fluffed up and looks very healthy. I have no idea why it behaved like that, thanks for the help
