In the mean time you can pluck this stuff out when you do water changes.
Use a small air hose and suck the stalk into the hose and pinch it off.

Add more beneficial macro that will out-compete this for nutrients.

id have to say i had luck with kent MG and didnt have to do water changes right after. i had my mg up to 1750. before my computer crashed and i lost all my pics i had proof of before and after. i tried a seahare based on peoples advice and that didnt work. i never tried a lettuce nudi tho
