Coraline experiment

Both dry rocks were added the same day. 3 months later the dangling rock shows no sign of any coraline growth. The second rock picture which was place next to a live rock started to get coraline growth. Just thought i share this with you guys and gals

If u rub them together it would help to get the purple algae on to the dead rock so it could be seeded

Is the dangling rock under a shadow from the brace that it's suspended from and therefore exposed to different lighting conditions?

Yes, the dangling one is under the brace of the tank, also wanted to see if different lighting conditon would affect the growth
