Hey MR,

I know I know i need a pic. but before i can get my phone this thing disappeared.

so i saw this weird pink arm coming out of one of my rocks. At first i thought it was a brittle star arm but it was pink and had some "spikes" on it.

Then i shined a light on it and it went back into the rock. it came out again but only for a second.

i will try to get a pic tonight.

Likely it wasn't an arm, but a bristle worm. They are great detritus eaters and fine for a reef tank as long as you don't have too many (don't overfeed you tank, and the population will stay at a reasonable level)

And..do not touch them, those bristles will end up stuck in your fingers..and they hurt.
