if you can post up a pic..there are many different types of stars and some are more aggressive than others.....green brittles for example are very aggressive and are known fish eaters, but like any animal all will do what they need to do to survive ...all will eat fish, snails, shrimps etc.. if not properly fed.. I have my serpant for well over ten years and it never took a fish...just target feed them when you see the signs that they are hungry....out moving around in daylight, arms out from the rocks swaying in the current etc..

Here you mike sorry I couldn't get a good picture of them in my tank but there so small. I hope this picture helps out Mike

Those are micro brittle stars - then will never get any larger than the size of a quarter at best and some varieties stay even smaller.

Nothing to worry about, they are good algae eaters.
