Just brought rubbermaid brute container, safe to use after rinse?

Hi, reason why I ask is because after rinsing it I still see some sort of shinny film like stuff on the interior wall of the container, and water droplets are running off of it (like how rainex is on car windows). So I want to know is it save to store RODI water in it? if not, any simple way to completely clean it out? I was thinking alcohol and let it dry out but thought I did ask first, better safe than sorry.

I use a 44 gal for rodi and a 32 gal for mixing salt. Never had an issue. Just place a small pump in it to circulate water.

Mike389, by color you mean the film like oil coating or the container itself? well the film like coating is, I would say, white. And the container itself is gray color (didn't think that mattered?)

I thought it was gray or blue that were safe! Anyway, I've used a gray one for 6 months with no issues. Maybe hot water? Would avoid alcohol.

mike a ton of people use the gray with no problems and it says its food grade on the bottom.

i have used green, gray, black, dark gray containers and garbage cans and nothing has ever died. I keep the ro water in a green garbage can.

Yea gray is fine as long as it says USDA approved
