RO/DI installation help

I have the Aquasafe ro/di unit completely set up....after deciphering the hyroglyphics. Anyway, I am having a problem with the connection to the municipal water (Red) line. I try to turn the water pressure on from the cold pipe the red line pops out. I try keeping the water pressure low but then my faucet doesn't work. Should I tape it? I have seen the thread Deepwater put up and it looks just like that. What should I do?

It doesn't sound like you have the line all the way in. Push it in more. Not sure about yours by my red line fits over a metal barbed fitting that screws onto my faucet. The barbs (like sharks teeth) keep the red hose from slipping off, if yours flys off (and if your setup is like mine) then just push it on farther over the barbs.

It sounds like you are missing the plastic compression collar that goes around the tubing and sits under the compression nut.

Did you use the saddle and pierce your copper pipe to insert your hose?

If so, that nut has a compression nut inside it. If you are missing that, it won't stick.
