if you goal is to reduce phosphates to a certain level, you need to determine your source. Once you figure that one out, you can try to eliminate it...


Aside from water changes, you could also try using GFO or some fast growing plants to reduce Phosphates.

Are you sure your readings are correct? You are using a Phosphometer to get those readings?
IMHO, I dont think Chaeto itself will do it if your goal is to reduce it to zero....Are you having some negative effects from it? If not, just keep your usual water changes. I dont think the slight levels of phosphate is going to kill anything except it may cause some unwant hair algae.
GFO will further reduce it. I can attest to that BUT they get exhausted fast if you dont get rid of your source.
