I normally fill them both up at the same time. Put in the reagent, then let it dissolve... Then start the test. I don't think that you should be racing the meter. Try not to shake it either to dissolve the reagent. You want nice clean clear water. And wipe off any fingerprints or anything on the vials.

I have used this product not worth the money or results.
It doesnt realy matter how long it takes to mix the product you will get the same results after its mixed .
it can be overnight you will get the same reading.
Try it

Check your water with a different test kit and the hanna. They will both tell you the same number if you dont do a water change or run gfo's to pull the phosphates out.

I like the meter. It works for me.

I've used it both ways. I use one vial and have the reagent package open and ready to pour before I start the C1 step. When it says C2 I then pour it in swirl it for abt 1 min and the hold the button for 3 seconds. Let it count down the 3 min.

I've Aso tested where I forgot to pay attention and it shut off. I would take the second vial fill it with new water use that as my C1 and the use the first vial of my C2. But I have noticed I will get different numbers if I am not consistant.
Meaning I don't let it dissolve lo g enough. If you only hold the button for 1 second your number will usually be off BC it doesn't give enough time to fully dissolve. And like stated before always.wipe off any fingerprints.

I do it the same way it works great for me make sure you hold the button down and get the 3 min count down I was just hitting the button at first and getting in accurate readings...
