Calcium Testing

I wanted to make sure i am testing my calcium properly in my reef tank. I have an API test kit. I wanted to know if I only count the drops from solution bottle #2 to determine the calcium level?

I would not test with api kit. It gives false reading. But just in case you still want to use it you count the drops from the second bottle.
