I have 1 small aiptasia how long before it multiplies?

Try to get it out unless it takes over

How big is your tank? Odds are there are more hidden in the rocks, overflow, etc. might be worth it to poke around a bit and make sure.

If you have a lot get a small file fish they work wonders

one certain filefish does but it is hit or miss. I added 4 peppermint shrimps in my tank and I have not had aiptasia problems since

+1 on peppermint shrimps, don't feed anything in the tank for a few days . Once the peppermint shrimps gets food , they'll ignore the Aiptasia

It was on a crevice in the rock so i just chipped off that piece of rock .There was no way I could have gotten it all out by scraping it off.

beleive me a filefish is the way to go ...the reason i say is that my 90 gallon was cover with them put a filefish in and in a few months all were gone.. the aptastia ranged from asmall heads to half dollar heads

+1 on the peppermint but be careful if you are planning on getting a feather duster chances are that peppermint will attack it. Do some research on those peppermints before adding it. You may have something it would like to snack on that you might not appreciate.
