red sea salt

i just did my water change of 15 gal with red sea coral pro salt i have been using instant ocean before i thought to get some better salt but the problem is after mixing the salt the ph was 8.7 and the slanity was 1.024 at 78 f is that ph is normal with that salt with instant ocean the ph was 8.1 i was wondering if i did some thing wrong
