coral sting

can coral stings be confused with ich? is there a way to tell them apart?

I know I had a pair of clown and would try to host some zoa I had and would get stung by it all the time but it was lil black spots not white.

I don't have my camera atm and I haven't been able to get a good shot with my phone but I think it's coral stings cause in the morning I found my trumpet coral in my powder blues sleeping space, plus it was literally an overnight thing, before lights off he was perfect then in the morning one side of him had white spots.

How is the fish behaving other than the spots? Monitor the fish closely, anything else have spots, is fish eating? Active?

He's acting normal, eating like a pig, and I noticed he's not scratching himself, I've seen fish with ich scratch themselves against a rock or something

My question is are the stings enough to stress him out and actually give him ich, if they are coral stings?
