I am moving from NY to Florida and I have to move my 30g Nano-Cube. How do I do it? I am taking a moving truck down and it will take 2-3 days to get there because I have many other pets to take and I will be taking motel break along the way. The tank is stocked with corals and a clown and a bi-color,and a bubble tip. The tank right now is very healthy and has been up for 3 years.

Any ideas on how to move it. I was thinking battery powred air stones, styrofoam boxes, bags,

2-3 days it quite a long time, plus you'll need sometime to setup the tank again. What maybe best is to have someone hold the corals and fish for you and when you're ready, have them shipped everything over night. You'll need to get some plastic bags and a stro-foam container and possibility heating packs.

The live rock you can take with you, just place it in a bucket with a portable battery operated pump. It should be ok once you setup the tank again.

The other alternative is to bag up the corals, they'll be fine in the bag for a day or two. When you get to the hotel you can re-bag everything with new saltwater. You can do the same with the fish but it maybe better to just sell them and get new fish once you get setup and settled.

No, you don't need an air stone for the corals. The corals should be ok in the bag, just get a cooler where you can put them in, so they don't get cold from the trip. As for the fish, if they're small you can place them in a bag and then re-bag them when you get to the hotel. Don't feed them a couple of day before, so they wouldn't make a lot of waste in the bag. They should be able to make it but unless they're rare, or you've had them for a long time and are attached to them, it maybe best to sell them and get new fish.

I would take the corals and live rock with you and have the fish shipped overnight to you. Maybe you can have a friend of your local pet store ship it for you. I know my local pet store would do it for me.
Good luck with your move.

I would sell or give these away.
You are going to have a lot of other things going on with your move and this is a huge burden along with your other pets.
You can get new fish when you get there.
